Roux - Age 7 - Cerebral Palsy
"When Roux was a baby he was diagnosed with an incredibly rare brain tumour, he’s since had 15 surgeries and lives with many medical complexities, we were told that he may never be able to hold his head up. We never dared to dream that one day he might stand, let alone take independent steps. Since starting Rebound Therapy with Ava, we have watched him go from strength to strength, and he is now taking independent steps — something we genuinely never thought we would see. But Rebound Therapy has given Roux so much more than physical progress. It has given him his ‘thing’. For children with disabilities, finding a hobby or activity that they can truly enjoy and look forward to can be incredibly difficult. Being able to take Roux to Ava every week has given us a little bit of normality — something that is just his, something he gets excited about and somewhere he can have fun, challenge himself and simply be Roux. Seeing the difference it has made to his confidence, his strength and his outlook on what he can achieve has been incredible. Rebound Therapy has genuinely changed our view of what Roux’s life could look like, and we couldn’t be more grateful." - Roux's Mum Amy
Evelyn - Age 10 - Rett Syndrome + Autism
"Rebound Therapy gives Evelyn a great opportunity to stay active, supporting her movement, coordination, balance and muscle strength, which are all important with Rett syndrome.
Just as importantly, it gives her something of her own, a place she can have fun and take part in an activity suited to her needs. It gives her a sense of independence, belonging and achievement, which is just as important as the physical benefits" - Evelyn's Mum Sarah
