Rebound therapy is a form of therapeutic exercise in which the trampoline is used to promote an increase or decrease in muscle tone, facilitate movement, promote sensory integration and improve communication skills, it uses a trampoline to provide a wide range of benefits to a wide range of people with disabilities.

Improves exercise tolerance due to demand on cardio-respiratory system
Provides sense of achievement
Stimulation of digestive system as trampoline provides internal organ massage
Clears toxins from the body
We will use the Winstrada development and award scheme to continually assess students and allows for participants to feel a sense of achievement when targets are met.
If the participant has complex needs the Huddersfield functional index will be used alongside the Winstrada scheme.
All sessions will be in a 1:1 or group environment, carers may be required to assist however this will always be supervised. Sessions will be at Launch Pad Trampoline Gymnastics academy and sessions will be priced beginning at £18. All sessions will be conducted by a qualified physiotherapist and certified Rebound Therapist.
We want Rebound therapy to be accessible to as many participants as able however there are 6 contraindications to Rebound therapy, If you believe a participant has any of these unfortunately Rebound therapy would not be suitable.
Confirmed atlanto-axial instability - if the participant has down syndrome a doctor review will be required if they have not been assessed for atlanto-axial instability
